I primarily co-supervised on the <em>Initial Teaching Practice <\/em>module (LG666) where we trained Undergraduate students in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The module included lesson preparation, observations, and post-lesson reflections.<br><br>After I finished my PhD studies, and since October 2023 till June 2025, I started my first academic post as <strong>Lecturer at the University of Essex<\/strong>. During this time, I was module director in a variety of Undergraduate modules in the course: <em>BA TEFL<\/em>.<strong> I was also co-director of the <em>MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics<\/em> programs<\/strong>.<br><br>My teaching duties also involved <strong>supervising Undergraduate &amp; Postgraduate students<\/strong> in their research projects and Dissertations (<em>Project: Linguistics (LG831); MA Dissertation (LG981)<\/em>). I have so far supervised 5 undergraduate students and (co-)supervised 11 postgraduate students on the topics of : <strong>technology-informed language learning, language teacher identities, language learning anxiety, play- and game-based language teaching <\/strong>and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default has-large-font-size\">Modules I (co)taught and\/or was module director of:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default has-accent-2-background-color has-background\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Research methods for language and linguistics (LG213)\u00a0[co-taught &amp; module director]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Language Teaching in Different Contexts (LG329)\u00a0[module director]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Cognitive Linguistics for Second Language Learning and Teaching (LG378)\u00a0 [module director]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Theory and Practice in English Language Teaching (LG667) [module director]\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Description of Language for TEFL\/ELT and Applied Linguistics (LG512)\u00a0[module director]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Introduction to Professional Communication (LG366)\u00a0[co-taught]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-5-background-color has-background has-medium-font-size\">During my teaching I was also involved into delivering some invited teaching for modules of : Literature and Film in Language Teaching (LG490)\u00a0, Educational Leadership and Management (LG656).<br><br>Further, I have delivered workshops and seminars on how game-based learning and gamification can be used to foster student engagement in Higher Education.
