About Me

Hiya!

Nice to see you here : )

I try to keep this blog professionally academic (90%), with a touch of coaching (5%), and all things in-between (5%).

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Antwerp (Department of Training & Educational Sciences), investigating games, emotions, teaching, democracy, civic engagement, teacher training and many more interesting words!

My academic background and work experience has been on the teaching of language(s). During my doctoral studies, I investigated language teachers’ emotions while enacting game-informed pedagogies. I have published in conferences related to learning and games and am an advocate of good teaching (and learning) via games as an active, participatory, and socio-emotional pedagogy.

My research interests include the psychology of language learning and teaching, qualitative methods, Action Research, (critical) Positive Psychology, and game-based (language) teaching.

Interested in any of the above? welcome & let’s connect and -why not set up a new field: Applied Play & Games Psychology ; )
